Purified water greatly reduces the various compounds that are left in the city-treated water that harm our bodies and can give you more peace of mind and safer water on-the-go wherever you are.
One of the first priorities we were encouraged to have in our household after my cancer diagnosis was a high quality water purifier. This one is a counter-top, stainless steel purifier that uses gravity to push the water through the charcoal filters in the top barrel, and fluoride filters in the bottom barrel if you choose, to purify the water from viruses, hormones (yes, this is a real issue especially in America with all the pharmaceuticals contaminating our waste water that gets recycled into our tap water), pesticides, chlorine, and various other chemicals that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has tested and found in many of our American local tap water sites.
For two adults and a small dog, we chose the Big Berkey size and fill it about once a day. We use it for all our cooking, drinking, and the pet water.
